You have been such a personal blessing to me. I've learned much from you. You have inspired me, you have touched my heart, you have touched a chord within me that will resonate for a very long time.... Your genuine-ness moves me, your spirit of excellence- challenges me, your warmth mentors me, your honesty thrills me, your gentleness touches me - to tears - it reeks of Him; and your speed - keeps my attention. :) Your sponge-like receptivity teaches me - and blesses me.  A few years ago I was homeschooling two children and had two others under two. I was exhausted and spiritually dried up. A friend told me about Drawing Near and I started going. I have said many times that Drawing Near saved my life. It was a place of true refreshment for me. The beautiful thing at the time was that it had all the elements that I needed to recover and grow. There was worship, small group interaction, wonderful teaching and CHILD CARE! It was also there that i learned about prayer ministry and not only experienced it as a reciever but recieved training to be a giver as well. It was just what I needed at the time and I am forever grateful. 

 Just wanted you to know that when you pray there is such an anointing on you that I can feel the Holy Spirit all over me. The first night of Bible Study, I wasn?t expecting that and it caught me by surprise. What a wonderful surprise! Thank you God that you are working so mightily in Joanne's ministry and life and who she is, is, who she is. That you have drawn from deep inside her and all her life experiences and relationship with you. Thank you Jesus.  

 The Drawing Near studies have been nothing but profound. At times, during the lessons, I sit and listen to Joanne and I'm moved emotionally like never before. Not that emotionalism is significant, one way or the other, but it's truly not my usual response to listening to a Bible teacher. Joanne's teachings are so penetrating and rich and her delivery just overflows with love. Her gift has made a real impact in my walk.  

 I can't tell you how much I've longed for this type of study. I am spoiled rotten when it comes to church stuff and bible studies. I've just moved to Mt. Pleasant from Northern Virginia where I attended and taught at McLean Bible Church. I miss it and miss the sisterhood of believers. I have been searching to find something in the area where the Bible isn't sugar coated and where women aren't scared to stand on God's word. Bingo! I found it. Thanks, 

 To all my friends of DNG who during the past two years have prayed for me, I have good news. Before the snow arrived yesterday, my house was sold. Yeah God and thank you all for your prayers. God is so faithful. Blessings Kathy  

 DNG has allowed me to reach spiritual heights in my life that I never dreamed possible. I am now bold. No matter where I am, I share the Word with everyone. I have prayed for the Holy Spirit to dwell in me and give me spiritual eyes, mind, and heart. I pray for wisdom and knowledge and for the power of God. I read the Word like never before. And now I get it. Before, I did not. I really have surendered my all to Him, seeking to follow His commands and draw near to Him everyday. We must make each day count! DNG has shown me that. 

 As Manager and Steward of Common Grounds Bookstore at St. Andrews Mount Pleasant, it has been a wonderful challenge to keep Joanne Ellison's devotional, Drawing Near To God, on the shelves. It is extremely popular and comes highly recommended. Catherine Guerry Common Grounds Manager/Steward 

 After being away from the church for many years, I was saved by my employee and now dear friend Yolanda by her leaving a tract by my bedside which asked, \"Are you going to heaven?\" I was not sure of the answer to that question, but I was sure that I had to find out. Then my friend Heidi McCormick who is in the leadership of Drawing Near to God told me about Alpha, an introductory course in Christianity. I learned why to believe, how to pray, how to read the Bible, and much more. This was the first time I really understood what it meant to be in a relationship with God. Then Heidi told me about Drawing Near to God. Through Joanne Ellison\'s teachings, I AM drawing nearer to God and finding strength for this amazing journey. Our church in Naples, Florida has had the privilege of hosting the Drawing Near to God team, and many were touched by their gift of music, Joanne\'s teaching, and the prayers of the prayer team.
