Worship 9:30 a.m.  – 9:45 a.m.

Worship is an integral part of our Drawing Near program. Our worship time provides the place for participants to draw near to God by focusing on Him alone. As we worship Him our hearts are prepared to encounter His Presence. We begin and end every session with worship.  

Small Groups 9:45 a.m. – 10:35 a.m.

The Christian life is designed to be lived in community with fellow Christians. The early church did life together. They fellowshipped with one another, prayed together, and shared meals. The small groups, like the early church, are designed to help participants grow in a community setting encouraging one another to grow spiritually.

Note: If you have an established small group and you would like to attend Drawing Near to God, we are happy to set your group up together in a room during this time. Please call the Drawing Near to God Office at 284-4333 to make arrangments.

Teaching 10:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

The weekly teaching by Joanne Ellison focuses on applying God’s Word to our daily lives. Her vulnerability and willingness to share her own spiritual journey help make the Word relevant for today.   The Scriptures come alive through her stories and difficult passages become clear with her straightforward approach to the gospel message.  The joy and passion in her delivery motivates participants to search the Scriptures and apply them to their own lives.  

Reflection & Soaking Prayer - 11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

At the end of our session, we encourage participants to carve out a time to be quiet and reflect on what God is doing in your life.  Prayer ministers will quietly move about about the room praying for each person, simply blessing what God is already doing.  Often times, words are never spoken.  This is a very powerful and refreshing part of our weekly ministry.

Note:  Immediately following the teaching, there will be a reflection song.  After the reflection song, we will move right into Soaking Prayer.  You can stay for as long as you would like up until noon.  If you must leave or have a conversation prior to noon, please gather your things and leave the Ministry Center quietly.  Thank you.
